Helldivers 2 recently received a massive new update. Similar to the other patch that came out in September, this update has provided a large number of weapon buffs and changes.
While most of the improvements are appreciated, the Helldivers 2 patch has devastated one of the game’s coolest and most unique weapons. You can check out the update 01.001.104 patch notes to see the all of the changes implemented by Arrowhead. In addition, Arrowhead has recently included a clever wink to Halo and Silent Hill, and, as for new content, the release date for Liberty Day is less than two weeks away. It’s also possible the Illuminate are set to land very soon.
We miss the half meter detonation radius of the projectile. It made it feel bigger and more impactful. Now It feels like a scorcher projectile which breaks the unique power fantasy of the weapon. The new falloff curve is useless in any practical way because it drops off at such a specific range that it cannot be exploited at any other range. It is also much harder to estimate. It didn’t need a faster rate of fire. The slow rate of fire gave the experience weight.
