Ashley Perry, a former senior adviser to the Israeli Government, has told Sky News that Israel 'absolutely' shares the concerns of other world leaders that the conflict with Hamas could escalate to envelop the whole region. He said: 'We saw a rocket come across from Yemen, ostensibly aimed at Israel, which is a massive escalation, and we're seeing rockets come across regularly on the northern border.
'Every nation on Earth would react with far greater force than Israel is even showing. Israel never targets civilians, but unfortunately Hamas knows exactly how to play into this. 'These are the new rules of assymetric warfare which make it impossible to have a clean war that we used to see historically. Unfortunately they know very well the propaganda' made possible by civilian casualties.
