A high-profile TV interview with ex-Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been cancelled after BBC political heavyweight Laura Kuenssberg made a last-minute blunder
Glaswegian BBC political correspondent Laura Kuenssberg has been forced to abandon a highly anticipated television interview with former Prime Minister Boris Johnson after she made an embarrassing blunder, she admits.
On Twitter, the former BBC political editor, who grew up in Glasgow and attended the University of Edinburgh, addressed the issue: "While prepping to interview Boris Johnson tomorrow, by mistake I sent our briefing notes to him in a message meant for my team. That obviously means it's not right for the interview to go ahead.
Boris Johnson, who resigned from Parliament just before a scathing standards committee report concluded he had misled the Commons regarding No10 parties, was braced for hard-hitting questioning in an interview. The ex-Prime Minister maintains he was wrongly ousted and plans to reveal his side of the story in his upcoming memoir 'Unleashed', due out this month.
