The BBC has shaken-up the scheduling of two programmes after an embarrassing gaffe by Laura Kuenssberg saw her upcoming interview with Boris Johnson scrapped. Her much-anticipated sit-down with the former Prime Minister was due to air in EastEnders' regular slot this evening, with the next episode of the soap pushed back to tomorrow instead.
However, the BBC said late on Wednesday that the interview had been cancelled after Kuenssberg accidentally sent Mr Johnson briefing notes that were instead intended for her team. Now in a double schedule shake-up EastEnders will return to its usual slot on BBC One at 7.30pm with an episode of Garden Rescue set to replace it tomorrow.
