Laura Whitmore has broken her silence as Maya Jama is announced as the new host of Love Island. The former presenter of the hit ITV2 dating show reacted to the news as it was confirmed today on the official Love Island Instagram page.
The clip starts off with a close up of someone scrolling through their phone, looking at articles about who the new Love Island host could be while the signature theme tune plays in the background. As the camera zooms out, Maya Jama is revealed to be the one scrolling through the phone. After taking a sip from her Love Island branded water bottle, she sits on a sofa, beaming ear to ear as a Love Island suitcase with the name 'Maya' can be seen next to her. "Okay, the rumours are true. Say hey to your brand-new #LoveIsland host @mayajama", the caption reads.
