Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag left TNT Sports presenter Laura Woods waiting for a handshake in an awkward post-Champions League interview.
After the win, ten Hag joined the TNT team comprising Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes to discuss the match. After a brief chat, Woods said: "Thank you, Erik. Thank you for interviewing me as well! Different. Congratulations!" and took the microphone back. After that, she stretched out her hand towards the manager to exchange greetings but Ten Hag turned away and shook hands with the former United players leaving Woods to shake hands with the air.
However, Ten Hag realised his error and came back to shake her hand as well which saved Woods from further embarrassment.After ten Hag left, Woods admitted that she was "pied" completely while smiling away with Scholes and Ferdinand. "How weird was that? I don't know what to do with my hands with no microphone, and then obviously pied me completely," she said.Later, Woods took to Instagram to share the clip of Ten Hag's snub in her story and wrote: "Lived out my worst nightmare right there."
