Jones, 55, denies two charges he raped young women at his flat in Salford in 1993
A woman who alleged she was drugged and raped by Lawrence Jones in his flat in Salford in 1993 told a jury she went to the police because she thought the UKFast founder was a 'serial rapist'.
She described how Mr Jones encouraged her to sniff from a medicine bottle which made her feel 'instantly really really sleepy' before he allegedly raped her. The defendant was thought of as a 'charismatic guy' and thought of himself as a 'ladies man', according to the woman. The woman said she was raped by the defendant during the daytime. She said she ‘distinctly remembered’ Mr Jones asking her age - she was in her early 20s - before the alleged rape and that she thought this ‘really odd’.
“I can’t believe I did it because I don’t do things like that. I’ve never taken drugs in my life, never. I don’t know what it was. I didn’t recognise the smell or anything like that.
