Austin -based soda brand Poppi has left a sour taste in one customer's mouth, according to a class-action lawsuit that accuses the company of consumer fraud and false advertising. Customer Kristin Cobbs alleges in the lawsuit that the brand's 'prebiotic' sodas don't deliver the health benefits proposed by its slogan, ' Be Gut Happy . Be Gut Healthy .
'We are on a mission to revolutionize soda for the next generation of soda drinkers, and we have diligently innovated to provide a tasting experience that millions of people have come to enjoy,' Poppi said in a statement. 'We believe the lawsuit is baseless, and we will vigorously defend against these allegations.
