BACOLOD CITY – An Ilonggo artist found the perfect subject for his art leaf this month as he sculpted various landmarks here and a logo of the MassKara Festival which is currently being celebrated in this city.
Some of the leaf arts posted by Ukit Dahon on Facebook are the Bacolod City Government Center , provincial capitol of Negros Occidental, Bandstand at the Bacolod public plaza, San Sebastian Cathedral, Negros Museum, and the Sculpture at the Capitol Park and Lagoon.These art pieces were sculpted by Architect Edimar Paclibar from Iloilo who has been working here.Aside from the “City of Smiles” landmarks, he also sculpted the festival logo, the Megaworld’s Upper East House, and pasalubong centers.
Paclibar said that he started his interest in leaf art during the pandemic lockdown as he got curious in its uniqueness.
