Learner driver smashes car into railings in Salford on illegal solo trip
A learner driver in Salford smashed their car headfirst into railings after deciding to take a solo drive.
Police attended the scene after reports of a crash between a car and traffic refuge. Upon arrival, they discovered the driver - who had set off with their 'L plates' on - was only in possession of a provisional drivers license. Images show a red Honda Jazz, complete with L plates, driven onto the pavement and crashed through large iron railings next to what appears to be a park. Greater Manchester Police say the vehicle has been seized and the driver reported.
