The star delivered a fresh take on going-out style—by piling on denim.
While her Gossip Girl character, Serena van der Woodsen, was usually gallivanting on the Upper East Side, last night, Blake Lively was spotted downtown—heading to dinner at Carbone with her It Ends with Us co-stars Isabela Ferrer and Hasan Minhaj. Enjoying a night out with friends, Lively’s glamorous look was still very Serena-coded, albeit a more 2024 version of something the iconic prep school It girl would wear. Enter a dressed-up version of the Canadian tuxedo.
Lively wore a denim mini dress awash in sparkly studs, making the piece more downtown NYC than small town rodeo. Lively piled on a denim trench overtop; an unexpected take on an evening coat. Combined, the two different washes had just the right amount of contrast. Of course, her Chanel crossbody bag and sky-high stilettos also helped make the ensemble feel superstar-worthy.
