🗣“I think the left front will be crying for the whole race.” Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc believes left front tyres will be worked hard at the revised Barcelona track during this weekend’s F1 SpanishGP. ⬇️

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc believes left front tyres will be “crying” at the revised Barcelona track during this weekend’s Formula 1 Spanish GP.The chicane before the last corner has been removed from the layout creating a high-speed run through what are now Turns 13 and 14 that puts extra stress on the tyres.

“It’s the same for everybody, it’s going to be a big challenge I think in terms of setup, and also to try and help that left front as much as possible. “It might become more of a management race than what it already is, and it’s already a huge management race.”Teams are already well prepared for protecting tyres to be the major focus of the weekend.

Pirelli F1 boss Mario Isola pointed out that without the acceleration zone out of the chicane the rear tyres now take less of a pounding. “We have now C1, C2 and C3. Last year we had what we now call C0, but it was too hard. And everybody was on the C2 and C3, and we had three stops.
