Hibs boss is confident ahead of next week's Battle of Britain in Leith after watching his side dump Luzern.
Lee Johnson hailed his Hibs "trojans" after dumping Luzern in a Euro nerve-shredder before roaring: bring on Aston Villa.
But goals from Elie Youan and Boyle either side of a Luzern fightback that saw Jakub Kadak and Kemal Ademi score sealed a 2-2 draw on the night for a 5-3 aggregate victory and spark a party among the 1000 visiting fans. They’ll now face Unai Emery’s Villa next Wednesday evening in Leith after the Conference League play-off tie was moved forward 24 hours to avoid clashing with Hearts. And Johnson has vowed to make life uncomfortable for the Premier League giants.
“Any team coming to Easter Road should be under pressure and that will be no different for Aston Villa. That definitely goes down as one of the best European nights in Hibs’ history. There’s been a rich history at the club. But over the last 15-20 years I’m not sure if there’s been any bigger due to the standard and quality of the team we’ve just put out."
