After over a decade of silence, Liverpool music legend Lee Mavers, frontman of The La's, made an unexpected appearance at Vanishing Point Records in Chesterfield. The iconic singer treated fans to an impromptu performance, leaving attendees stunned and sparking hope for a potential reunion.
It has been a long time since Liverpool music legend Lee Mavers performed for fans. The La's lead singer's last official gig was on September 9, 2011, when the band played at the O2 Academy in Liverpool. Since then the legendary frontman has rarely been seen in public. The La's only ever released one album, with no new music released since 1990 - but their songs are heard up and down the UK.
Lee Mavers and band played in the store and it was an absolute privilege to host them.' They added: 'Some sweet spots were hit this evening! Thanks to all that came! Big love and thanks to Lee and the band and @liamwalker music, @groovefarmrecords for bringing the magic.' Those lucky enough to witness the gig shared their thoughts, with many taking to social platforms to express their amazement.
