8-hour Met Office thunder warning
A thunderstorm warning has been issued for Leeds on Sunday with residents warned to expect a chance of localised flooding.
The current forecasts place the worst of the storms in the Leeds area between 3pm and 6pm. Lighter spells of rain can be expected from 1pm until 9pm with skies clearing after that point.
What to expect The Met Office warning impact matrix rates this event as low likelihood and medium impact. This means that while the majority may not be affected by the storms, those that are can expect significant disruption. Tonight: Patchy cloud will persist, with some evening sunny spells and then clear spells overnight. Patchy mist, fog or low cloud may form around dawn. Feeling warm and humid everywhere. Minimum temperature 16 °C.
