One of the players who may have been set to travel is Ampadu, who spent last season on loan at now Serie B side Spezia. The Wales international is currently the club's longest serving player but has made just 12 appearances for Chelsea since he joined from Exeter in 2017. His time at Stamford Bridge, though, looks set to come to an end this summer after six years on the books.
