However, at midday they issued another update stating the runway would remain closed until this afternoon at the earliest.Leeds Bradford Airport said the ongoing heavy snowfall meant the runway would be closed until further notice, and due to the high volume of customers in the departure lounge, they would need to temporarily restrict access through security.
"Customers are advised to contact their airline for the most up-to-date information regarding their flight before travelling to the airport.
