The markets will run from November 24 as they return for the first time in four years
Leeds residents have shared their excitement as the Christmas Markets returns to the city this winter. The popular event will be held in the city for the first time in four years after it was originally cancelled during the Covid-19 pandemic. Organisers say this Christmas the markets will be ‘bigger and better’ than ever before.
Many residents and city visitors have shared their excitement at the news. Others say they can’t get passed the expensive market prices. Amanda Liberty said: “I’ll look forward to this. Very welcome back to these beautiful markets. I will be sure to bring out my organ out and play some Christmas music.”
Another individual, Tom, told Leeds Live: “Great news. Let’s hope the expansion isn’t just food and drink. Let’s get some decent stalls like Halifax and Harrogate. I’ll be there.” Jo Louise said: “We need to go.” Carly Tordoff said the event “might be decent for the first time in years.”
