More than 1,000 crimes were reported in Leeds city centre in a month, including 298 violent and sexual offences, with hotspots on Briggate and The Calls.
In total there were 1,140 reported crimes in Leeds City in June 2022. There were 298 violence and sexual offences, 166 shoplifting crimes, 145 categorised as other theft and 531 other crimes. Below you can see a breakdown of the crimes, including the locations in Leeds and the areas with the most reports, areas closest to the city centre such as The Calls and Kirkgate have received the most reports.
