A man in his 50s is in hospital fighting for his life after a car crash in Leeds. Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following the incident on Station Road on Wednesday afternoon.
Detectives investigating a serious crash in Leeds are appealing for witnesses to come forward. A car collided with 'street furniture' and a tree, according to police, who have since launched an appeal following the mid-afternoon crash on Wednesday, December 18. Police are appealing for witnesses or video footage of a grey Mazda CX5 as the driver behind the wheel, a man in his 50s, is believed to have suffered a medical episode while driving.
The driver is in hospital fighting for life, officers say. A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: 'Roads Policing Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision, which happened on Station Road (the ring road), at around 1pm, and involved a grey Mazda CX5 which left the road and collided with street furniture and a tree. 'The male driver, aged in his 50s, is believed to have suffered a medical episode and was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.'
