The cyclist was hit on the road beside the Roundhay Fox

The incident occurred on Mansion Lane, where the road meets the junction of Princes Avenue, near to the Roundhay Fox, just before 10am this morning .

The cyclist has been taken to Leeds General Infirmary. West Yorkshire Police have cordoned off an area on the Mansion Lane junction.A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "Yorkshire Ambulance Service received an emergency call just before 10am on Thursday morning to report a collision between a car and cyclist on Princes Avenue, Roundhay, Leeds. An ambulance responded to the incident and one patient was conveyed to Leeds General Infirmary.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Emergency services are currently in attendance at a serious road traffic collision involving a car and bike on Princes Avenue, Roundhay. The cyclist has been taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries remain ongoing at the scene."
