A recent public survey of more than 900 people found less than 20% felt safe while using the city's road network.Between 2016 and 2020, crashes on roads inand seriously injured 1,498, with most of those killed travelling on foot, on a bike or riding a motorbike. "It requires everybody, not just the highways department to do it, otherwise we'll fail, because we can't do this on our own."
