'We are devastated for you and of course the artists that were eager to play'
Leeds Festival has said it is 'devastated' after organisers revealed the BBC Radio One tent and stage will remain closed over the weekend.
On Friday, organisers announced that the BBC Radio 1 Stage and Aux Stage would be 'lost' on Friday after the storm battered the venue overnight.Due to the conditions, campers were advised to stay in their tents, while festival-goers travelling to the site were urged to delay their arrival as the storm hit West Yorkshire.
In a new update on Friday evening, organisers then announced that the BBC Radio One tent would be closed throughout Saturday and Sunday.
