He was up on a roof for two hours
A Seacroft man climbed onto his roof at the weekend to avoid police trying to arrest him on suspicion of assault.
West Yorkshire Police said they attended at a home in Baileys Croft in Seacroft on Sunday, April 30, to arrest a man after a report of a domestic-related assault. When they arrived at around 8.30am, the suspect refused to come out. Instead, he climbed onto the roof. Police eventually managed to bring him to safety nearly two hours later at around 11.20am.Pictures and videos were circulating on Sunday of West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service attempting to help coax him down. Once down, the man was arrested on suspicion of assault and cannabis possession.
