A 31-year-old Leeds man, Kyle Gallagher , narrowly avoided imprisonment after he attacked his pregnant partner during an argument over Warhammer collectables. The incident occurred on August 5, 2022, when Gallagher found their young daughter playing with one of his collectables, which escalated into a heated argument. During the altercation, he pushed her so forcefully that her neck snapped back, causing immediate pain.
He later grabbed her by the neck and squeezed her for a few seconds, despite her attempts to push back. The woman eventually managed to call the police, who arrested Gallagher on the scene. He claimed the woman had attacked him first in the garden. Leeds Crown Court heard that Gallagher's relationship with his partner worsened significantly after he moved in with her and she became pregnant
