Leeds school statement as student attacked by gang
A 15-year-old boy was hospitalised on Tuesday after being attacked by 'three youths who jumped out of a moving car' and assaulted him outside his school.
School leaders and pastoral staff rushed to the scene "immediately". Emergency services were on the scene within 20 minutes and the student was taken to hospital in a police car. West Yorkshire Police arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the incident, who has since been released on bail. A 16-year-old boy has now been arrested in connection with the incident.
"Our pastoral staff have been in contact with the family and our thoughts are with the student and family at this difficult time. The school will support the police fully with the investigation," the school spokesperson added.
