Daniel Farke's Leeds United press conference is taking place at Elland Road after tonight's clash with Middlesbrough. Before the match, Farke made eight changes to the side that drew with Portsmouth on the opening day at the weekend.
Max Wober made his first start since relegated was confirmed in May 2023, while Joe Rothwell got his full debut in the engine room. Further forward, the front four was changed en masse by the manager. The first half ended goalless with neither side showing the threat or fluidity needed to hurt each other. Joe Gelhardt was alive to one or two moments, but neither goalkeeper was out under huge strain. The second half saw Leeds capitulate in defence with three goals scored in poor circumstances.
