United midfielder Ao Tanaka was lucky not to see a second yellow card early in the second half for a scything challenge as he tried to stop a quick Norwich break.
Leeds face a bigger test next up with a trip to promotion rivals Burnley on Monday evening, while Norwich host fellow mid-table side Swansea on Saturday lunchtime.Leeds United boss Daniel Farke told BBC Radio Leeds:"We scored an early goal and sometimes you think 'it's a nice easy evening, once we are in the lead we normally win the game' and then you do, perhaps, one step less, one or two per cent less concentrated, so I don't think we were good in the detail today.
