Ipswich Town cruised to a comfortable Championship victory at home to relegation-haunted Sheffield Wednesday to move above Leeds United into second position
Leeds United have slipped out of the Championship's automatic promotion places. Ipswich Town have climbed above Daniel Farke's men after thrashing Sheffield Wednesday 6-0 at Portman Road this afternoon.
Things got even better for Town in the 37th minute when Cameron Burgess doubled their advantage after the visitors failed to effectively deal with a corner. Ipswich suffered an injury blow prior to the second goal, with wide man Burns forced off with a knock. Burns was recently selected in the Wales squad ahead of the Euro 2024 play-offs.Nathan Broadhead added a third on the stroke of half-time to put the contest out of Wednesday's reach.
