Leeds United supporters make feelings clear on Junior Firpo and Patrick Bamford displays lufc
Whites fans were left hugely unimpressed by Patrick Bamford and Junior Firpo in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Newcastle United after the striker spurned a chance to double their first-half lead and the left-back was sent off late on.
Nick Pope saved Bamford’s 28th-minute penalty with Leeds United already a goal to the good following Luke Ayling’s early strike, opening the door for the visitors to came from behind and take the lead through a pair of Callum Wilson spot kicks. Rasmus Kristensen restored parity late on to rescue a point for Sam Allardyce’s side at Elland Road, earning the Dane the best mark from the fans alongside fellow goalscorer Ayling.Firpo had meanwhile won Leeds’ wasted penalty but supporters joined our own Beren Cross in taking a dim view of his overall performance, with Firpo he also gave away Newcastle’s second spot kick with a silly handball before being dismissed for a second bookable offence in the final moments of the game.
