Leeds United fans have hit out at defender Junior Firpo after “disgraceful” footage emerged from their 2-1 defeat to Southampton on Saturday .
Daniel Farke’s side kicked off at Elland Road knowing the only route to second place was to beat Southampton and for Ipswich Town to lose to Huddersfield. Leeds fans were particularly annoyed at Firpo for his role in Smallbone’s goal after he appeared to give up chasing the ball as it headed out of play.However, the ball was rescued by Kyle Walker-Peters who was then able to set up Smallbone for the winning goal.Leeds supporters on social media were fuming at Firpo, with some calling the 28-year-old “useless” while others want to see him sold this summer.
