The Whites were dealt an injury blow in the build-up to their 1-0 win over Leicester City
Jamie Shackleton missed the Friday night win at Leicester CityThe two results are a real statement of the Whites' promotion credentials, despite a tough start on their return to the second tier. It was that win over the Tractor Boys back in August that got their Championship campaign up and running after no wins in their first three.
The mass exodus during the summer, combined with an influx of players and injury problems that plagued the squad, all contributed to that difficult start. However, now in November, Farke's injury problems have eased with just four senior players out injured after Junior Firpo featured in a matchday squad for the first time on Friday evening.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the match, Farke said: "Jamie Shackleton sadly suffered a little glute strain in training and for that it's quite normal that Archie comes back.""Sadly, some bad news was that Joe Gelhardt, who suffered a hand fracture yesterday in training and we will wait for some further assessment," Farke said before the Leicester trip.
Prior to the Leicester City clash, Farke confirmed that Spence should be back after the international break. "Djed Spence is not in team training at the moment, we expect him back within the next seven to 14 days. So he won't be involved in any game before the international break, but we expect to be back on the other side of the international break."Stuart Dallas' long-term recovery continues, with Farke last week confirming that the Northern Irishman is currently doing individual training, with the hope that he returns to train training shortly.
