It's time for the Belgian to make his return
Bouncing back from Saturday’s loss is critical for Leeds United, who suddenly have a minor crisis at left-back and a creativity issue behind their striker. Ethan Ampadu is also a boost in training, but seems a little way off from being considered for selection as yet.
A bang on Junior Firpo’s foot has meant he will be a late decision by the manager today, but I would not take a risk with the Dominican for the purpose of this exercise. If there is any chance of the left-back making it worse, he should be rested and given a better chance of what will be a sterner Middlesbrough test in midweek.
Wober has been back for a few more weeks and seen a lot more recent action for club and country. The 26-year-old was decent from the bench in the Luton win and should have enough about him to be a threat against what is likely to be a deep-lying Derby side. The Belgian is unlikely to be back to his best this quickly, but he was brilliant before he picked up that ankle injury and Manor Solomon, despite his brace at Swansea City, wasn’t quite doing enough through last week’s three games, for me.
