Leeds United's confidence is boosted by their recent victory, but they face a tough challenge against Leicester City, who have been dominant this season.
Confidence was boosted in the Leeds United camp by Saturday’s ‘offensive fireworks’ and the players will be allowed to enjoy their rout, but Daniel Farke admitted Friday brings a new level of test. Leicester City have won 13 of their 14 matches this term and a trip to King Power Stadium already looks like the hardest examination of the season for everyone in the league.
“When you can answer a setback with such a performance it’s always good for the confidence,” said Farke. “Also, especially our electrifying offensive fireworks in the first half were also good for the confidence.” The trip to Leicester starts the weekend for domestic football in the UK, but even with a shorter week off to prepare than normal, the German did not want to look ahead too early. Farke admitted the same routes to success against Huddersfield Town are unlikely to be the same routes on Friday night.
“Then the next game will also be a different game and perhaps also some different solutions. Right now we're just happy with this important success.”
