The Whites will look to gain ground on the leading pack when they return after the October international break
Back-to-back victories over Queens Park Rangers and Bristol City have put Daniel Farke’s Leeds United firmly back in the promotion picture. After a stuttering start, the Whites looked to have found their form following September’s 3-0 victory over Watford.
Farke’s use of sharpshooter Piroe, and in particular deploying the attacker in the ten role behind Georginio Rutter, was much discussed in the run up to Saturday’s fixture, but the German stuck to his guns and the former Swansea star fired in a timely winner for the Whites after the break.READ MORE: Daniel Farke has unlocked a new Leeds United formation that unleashes wide man
Following the international break, it is a return to similar surroundings for Farke after enjoying four years in Norfolk, where he guided the Canaries to two EFL Championship titles. Leeds’ remaining two fixtures before the next international break sees them travel to leaders Leicester City before welcoming Plymouth Argyle to Elland Road.
