It has been claimed that Ferrell will be at Wembley Stadium to watch United should they make it through to the Championship play-off final on Sunday, May 26. The 56-year-old is the latest celebrity to invest in the Whites via through their US owners 49ers Enterprises. United are not the only club to have attracted US investors in recent years, with former NFL stars Tom Brady and JJ Watt buying stakes in Birmingham City and Burnley respectively. “Will Ferrell buying into Leeds United, I suspect is similar to the relationship between Birmingham City and Tom Brady,” told Football Insider.
