A look at the options Daniel Farke has at his disposal for tonight's Championship duel
There is plenty at stake for both Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United tonight following mixed starts to the 2024/25 Championship season. Yorkshire bragging rights will be up for grabs in front of the Sky cameras and the local derby offers the Owls and Whites the perfect chance to get their campaigns back on track.
Skipper Ethan Ampadu said: "A feisty derby is a good atmosphere to play in. It could be a tough game but we are working hard to hopefully not have a repeat of last week."United manager Daniel Farke has no new injury worries to contend with going into the televised clash. Austrian international Max Wober, an unused substitute at The Hawthorns, is a doubt due to a calf problem. The knock also troubled Wober prior to the trip to the Midlands.
"As a manager you want to get things done sooner rather than later. We know what is necessary and I'm used to working with limited resources. I'm not crying here saying 'make my life easier'. I know we will need to play the next game without new signings. Right now, we have a maximum of one, perhaps two, games without the support of new signings."
