The Whites are in the market for a number nine before the transfer window slams shut
Leeds United are working on a deal to sign Swansea City striker Joel Piroe despite reports claiming the Dutchman was close to signing a new deal at the Liberty Stadium. That's according to The Athletic, who say the Whites are preparing a bid in the region of £8-£10million for the Dutch forward.
Speculation regarding his future this summer has been rife as he heads into the last 12 months of his contract. Piroe has reportedly resisted the Swans' offer of a two-year extension, with links to Leeds United and Leicester City. The Whites have been handed a boost to their coffers following the sale of Tyler Adams, while Willy Gnonto has also reportedly returned to first-team training after going on strike over a failed move to Everton.
