A veterinary surgery in Leeds has been criticised on social media after it allegedly refused to treat an injured deer. The deer had been hit by a car on Harrogate Road near a roundabout and rescued by a Leeds resident.

Without these brilliant people the poor little thing would have suffered and probably got hit by a car again. Thank you!" A spokesperson for Holly House Veterinary Practice said: "At Holly House veterinary practice we regularly treat injured wildlife free of charge. We are a caring practice and our priority is always to look after an animal's needs.
