Denice Fletcher lost her life at the age of just 16 in a car accident 15 years ago, but she remains in the hearts of her family - including loving little niece Grace.
The family of tragic Balloch teenager Denice Fletcher say that her legacy is being kept alive by niece Grace, as they mark the 15th anniversary of her death.The tragedy left a huge hole in the tight-knit family, who struggled to come to terms with the loss.
“My daughter being here gave my mum a big lift. My mum and Grace have such a close bond, and it’s nice to be able to go up to the cemetery together and be able to speak away about it.“Grace has blonde hair and really looks similar to Denice at that sort of age. One of the times my mum actually called her Denice because there is that similarity in them.
“My mum still lives in a lot of fear. It’s little things, when I’m driving home every day my mum will message me to make sure that I’ve got back safe. Every day without fail.
