James Bond theme composer Monty Norman has died
THE legendary composer behind the James Bond theme tune has died at the age of 94.Legend Monty Norman has died at the age of 94A statement on his official website, said: "It is with sadness we share the news that Monty Norman died on 11th July 2022 after a short illness."film Dr No and the piece of music which became the theme for the entire franchise.
In the 1950s and 1960s, he performed with big bands, including those for Cyril Stapleton, Stanley Black, Ted Heath, and Nat Temple., Tommy Steele, Count Basie and Bob Hope, as well as music and lyrics for musicals and films.
