Angela Lansbury dead – Legendary Murder, She Wrote actress dies 'peacefully' aged 96
Murder She Wrote star Angela Lansbury, who also gave her voice to the singing teapot Mrs. Potts in Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast', has died at the age of 96, her family have announced.
"She was proceeded in death by her husband of 53 years, Peter Shaw. A private family ceremony will be held at a date to be determined." Moving from New York to Hollywood 1942, she signed to MGM and obtained her first film roles, in Gaslight and The Picture of Dorian Gray, earning her two Oscar nominations and a Golden Globe Award.
