Night and Day Cafe, on Oldham Street in the Northern Quarter, has been recognised for its contribution to the city’s music scene with the nod. It’s up for Music Week magazine’s ‘Grassroots Venue: Spirit of the Scene’ award.
Other include the Boileroom in Guildford, Dubrek Studios in Derby, Glasgow’s iconic King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut — where Oasis were discovered — Le Pub in Newport, the Trinity Centre in Bristol and the Windmill in Brixton.
