Here he is seen at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in 2022.LOS ANGELES – Legendary saxophonist David Sanborn, who won six Grammy Awards over a long career and collaborated with music icons including David Bowie, Stevie Wonder and The Rolling Stones, has died of complications from prostate cancer.
Sanborn had been dealing with prostate cancer since 2018. He kept up his normal schedule of concerts until recently. Already he had concerts scheduled into 2025.
