Legends Luncheon presented by Nationwide Highlights Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation and Nationwide Children’s Hospital allianceFor over 48 years, Jack Nicklaus and his wife, Barbra, have been committed to helping families at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. A partnership was created in 1976 when the Golden Bear started the Memorial Tournament .

“I think it’s kind of neat,” said Jack Nicklaus. “It’s a nice objective to keep doing that because a million dollars goes a long way to help kids, and that’s what it’s all about.” “A lot of funds have been raised doing a lot of great things for kids, and when you do things for others, it makes you feel very good,” said Jack Nicklaus II. “It’s certainly something you try to pass on. It makes me very proud.”

The luncheon was highlighted by 12-year-old Syndey Al-Lateef, who is this year’s Nicklaus Youth Spirit Award Winner. She was diagnosed with hyperbilirubinemia when she was born prematurely.
