Employees at In the Game on Lowell Street in Peabody, Massachusetts, were conducting a ball drop test around noon on Tuesday when the display took a tumble. The balloons tipped over the display, which dropped around 12 feet onto spectators, Peabody’s fire chief told NBC10 Boston. All 10 people suffered minor injuries, according to the chief.
Eight of them were transported to nearby hospitals while two refused to be taken. It was not immediately known if any of them were children. The event was billed as a family-friendly occasion
