Munster and Leinster meet at Croke Park in the United Rugby Championship
Munster and Leinster will have the chance to close the gap on URC leaders Glasgow Warriors as they face off at Croke Park today.
Leinster began with a win over Edinburgh before two convincing victories against Dragons and Benneton. However, they bounced back to seal a 23-0 win at home to Ospreys last Saturday. Munster were impressive in beating Ospreys last week but they were out-classed in the first half by Leinster and the second half was a bit of a non-event, with the only try going to the visitors through Mike Haley's 66th minute effort.
Ross Byrne had the chance off the tee to kill that possibility but his long-range effort drifts to the right and is wide, but it used up time that Munster badly need.Munster win turnover ball in midfield and Hodnett plays it quickly out to the right wing, but Caelan Doris, who has made 16 tackles for his side today, wins a penalty for his team on the deck.
Loughman has a cut cheek as he gets to his feet while Jean Kleyn is replaced by Tom Ahern, who returns from injury.Munster kick-off and they need something to happen quickly now. They win the battle for possession and earn a scrum as Gus McCarthy, a half-time sub at hooker for Lee Barron, knocks on - he wasn't expecting Jack Crowley's kick off to sail over James Ryan's head.
