And the Motherwell starlet hopes it won’t be long before he’s back at the national stadium in the dark blue of Scotland. The 17-year-old wonderkid won his first Under-21 cap against Austria during the summer but he’s also dreaming of a place in Steve Clarke ’s top team.
The Fir Park youngster has been attracting interest from both Old Firm clubs as well as Premier League bosses. But he insists his only focus is developing under Steelemen gaffer Stuart Kettlewell. “Obviously I had an injury last year but this time I want to stay as fit as I can for the whole season and prove myself. The manager gave me a chance last year and I’m trying to repay him by playing first team football. That’s what I’ve wanted to do since I was a young boy and luckily I did that last year.
