The 20-year-old was brought back in from the cold for his first start of the season in Tuesday’s 5-2 win over Dundee.
Leon King insists he’ll be ready to answer a Hampden SOS should Rangers’ defensive headache fail to clear.
He said: “One hundred per cent. That’s what the boys in training get everybody up for. That’s the games you want to play in for this club and ultimately winning trophies. If the manager calls upon me I will be ready.” King made 24 appearances for the Ibrox club under Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Michael Beale last season. But he’s been restricted to just five late substitute run outs in this campaign before being thrust back into the fray against Dee on Tuesday.
He said: “It is a massive aim but ultimately we would like to win more trophies. At the end of the season if we walk away with two we will probably say we probably could have three. But we still have a job to do and we still need to win that cup final.”
