Tell us if you'll be pledging allegiance to King Charles III at the Coronation
At this weekend's Coronation, members of the public watching the ceremony across the United Kingdom and Commonwealth will be invited to swear their allegiance to the new King.
The public will be given the opportunity to say "I swear that I will pay true allegiance to your majesty, and to your heirs and successors according to law. So help me God", in a section known as the Homage of the People. This replaces the traditional Homage of Peers, where members of the House of Lords would make the declaration.
However, the anti-monarchist pressure group Republic has called the invitation 'an offensive and tone-deaf gesture that holds the people in contempt'.But what do you think? Will you be joining the King's loyal subjects in this ringing declaration of allegiance? Or do you think it's all a load of jumped-up gold-plated nonsense?
